About the program

This initiative is designed to increase the capacity of small disadvantaged businesses and minority-owned firms in Fresno’s urban core. The program works to make Black businesses more competitive in government, corporate and education agency procurement opportunities. The program also prepares suppliers to enter the market at various levels of the supply chain. Understanding local procurement and supplier diversity culture, as well as the economic, social and political barriers that often prevent Black-owned businesses from securing contracts, we work to cultivate procurement relationships throughout the state of California that can be leveraged for future opportunities.
